Penguins Impress Sold Out Crowd

Last night's game against the Rochester Americans took place in front of a sold out home crowd yes I said sold out, that's something we haven't seen in a while at the arena hope we see more crowds like that it was reminiscent of past seasons.

Last night's game was a good game for the Penguins that is to say for their power play unit, because Nygel (ref) saw it fit to give them so many chances three out of the four goals in the first period were scored on the power play.

The Pens did a good job on the power play something they haven't been doing lately converting 3 out of 8 would like to have had more but it was a good showing. John Curry  looked good in net  making a couple good saves looks like he has been working on things good for him.

Good to see Tangradi back in the thick of things from what I have read he is doing better, that's a good thing for the Pens. The Penguins out did themselves from the night before against the Admirals the out shot the Amerks 20-9 last night against the Admiralls it was 15-5 not bad first period.

Rochester saw fit to pull Alexander Salak after the first period can't really blame them after giving up four goals on 20 shots. It was good to see Jeff Taffe even if he was on the Amerks and did score two points on us there is something about watching guys who used to skate for us.

After the game I had a chance to talk to Dustin Jeffrey I told him they had a great game and last night's was just as good he said , yeah they were two good games.

Now it is on the road for the Pens taking on the Admirals back to back then a trip to chocolate town to take on the Bears, remember we will have the chat open for away games come on in and join us as we support our boys on the road. It is always a great chat.
