Penguins Sink AdmiralsThe WBS Penguins took on the Norfolk Admirals tonight at the Mohegan Sun Arena. The Penguins started the scoring tonight and ended the scoring tonight in between there were some good and bad. The Pens were first on the board after they nullified an Admirals power play Alex Grant found a puck and snuck it behind Norfolk's goalie, but Norfolk didn't crawl in a hole. The Admirals fired back just about 4 minutes later evening up the score at one all. The second period started with the Pens on a man advantage, out of the two power plays we were counting the Pens only got three shots on goal for each one of which the Pens converted netting their second goal in the game. Tim Wallace would be the one who put the Pens up by one at 8:22 on the power play. The Admirals came right back evening up the score yet again making it 2-2 and that's were it would stay leaving the ice for the second intermission. The third was all Pens Pushkarev would take a great pass from Chris Lee and send a gorgeous wrist shot on net past Norfolk's net minder putting his team up by one. The with four seconds left Dustin Jeffrey put the icing on the cake with the empty netter. Bortuzzo got the gate half way through the second period after fighting Norfolk's Jackson for removing his elbow pad prior to the fight, if it had come off during the fight he would have stayed and just got a 5 minute fight but rules are rules. John Curry had a good game tonight turning aside 27 out of 29 shots keeping the Pens in the game.
