Penguins Set New Records In 9-2 Romp

Chris Conner set a new Penguin record tonight as he helped his team to a 9-2 win over the Albany River rats scoring 3 goals and earning 6 points on the night.

For the fourth game in a row the Penguins have recorded a win, now to get past number 5 the Pens have been at four before this season but haven't got through it by the way the boys are playing it looks like they can make it.

The Penguins also set a team record for number of goals scored in a game.

All I have to say is the boys looked good tonight, whatever they have going for them or whatever they are doing keep it going because it is working. Brad Thiessen did a great job in net stopping 30 of 32 shots and getting a little choppy at the end of the game when the Rats took a hack at his glove hand.

The power play unit looked ok could have been a little more shots on goal but converting 2 out of 8 is just ok giving up a shorty wasn't a good thing either. The PK did well killing off 5 of 6 the Rats were given.

If you are a Penguin fan you definitely left the arena tonight felling good about your team.
