Penguins Getting Back On Track?Today's game against the Adirondack Phantoms marks the third game the Pens won in a row, could it be a sign of things to come? As the Penguins left the ice last night looking at a 5-0 score against the Hershey bears you couldn't help but feel that we were in for a let down, but the boys pulled out all the stops and traveled to Glenn Oaks New York and took it to the Phantoms. It wasn't looking good at the beginning of the game as the first period went down 0-0 but the second frame brought the game to life. Adirondack got on the board first, but the Pens didn't let the goal go by as they fired back just over a minute later making 1-1 on a goal from Zach Sill. The third was full of goals as the Pens took the lead 2-1 with Luca Caputi scoring just inside of :22 then the Phantoms tied it up as 5'10" 185lbs. winger Stefan Legein got it past Berky. That's not the end not even close, The Penguins 6'2" 218lbs. winger Jesse Boulerice gave the Pens the lead again as he netted his second goal in two nights at just under half way through the third. Dustin Jeffrey a name we all know when it comes to scoring netted his 16th of the season giving the Pens 2 goal lead looking at a 4 - 2 game with just under two minutes left in regulation, but the Phantoms don't die.
Adirondack put everything they had on the ice and came at the Pens even an extra attacker with just :31 left in the game the Phantoms scored their third goal making it a one goal game and pushing the Penguins to the brink. But the Pens held their ground and took the game 4-3 making it three in a row for the Penguins.
